The Role
As Portfolio Marketing Research Senior Executive, you will have responsibility for providing support in shaping our course portfolio. You will develop and use market research, data and insight to help to inform how our portfolio of courses is marketed across the Coventry University Group entities.
You will have a background in market research or marketing, with strong data-literacy skills. The role will support the Portfolio Marketing Strategy Manager in delivering planned research activities within the Market Research Plan, and ad hoc work as it arises. This will include conducting desk research, supporting with qualitative and quantitative research projects, and accessing and interpreting secondary research data, ensuring our portfolio is audience focused.
You will be a key point of contact for colleagues across the Marketing team and will liaise regularly with colleagues in teams such as Strategic Planning and Insights Office, Admissions and Student Recruitment.
Your duties will include:
• Supporting audits and new course development through research and data analysis.
• Creating reports and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners like UCAS.
• Assisting in market research projects and competitor monitoring.
• Integrating insights from various sources to guide portfolio decisions.
• Maintaining organised records of research outputs.
Our Successful Candidate
As a Portfolio Marketing Research Senior Executive you will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject area or be able to demonstrate industry experience relevant to the role. A relevant professional qualification or MRS/CIM certification would be advantageous.
You will have experience of supporting category or product marketing plans and initiatives along with conducting desk research, data analysis and market research. Market research within the context of higher education would be advantageous.
You will have previously coordinated qualitative and quantitative market research and experience of designing questionnaires using questionnaire design and analysis software.
You will be data-literate, organised and adaptable. Previous experience of using online or third-party data sources is essential.
