About The Role
Are you ready to embark on an exciting culinary journey? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin’s Buffet Department in beautiful Bognor Regis!
In this dynamic role, you’ll report directly to the Senior Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in leading a talented team of up to 40 individuals. At Butlin’s, making our guests smile is at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll ensure that they remain the central focus of all operational decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team for exceptional service.
* Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
* Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to high standards.
* Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team through training schedules and performance development plans, ensuring they deliver a fantastic experience to our guests every time. You’ll have the chance to lead and develop a skilled team in our main buffet restaurant, serving guests who have booked a half-board dining package.
About You

* Qualified: You should have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
As a chef at this level, you’ll also manage margins, control costs, and uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards. We believe our chefs at Butlin’s are truly special, and our guests love returning to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to join in, and committed to ensuring our guests have a great time, every time!
Typical working hours: You’ll work five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week, and enjoy the benefits of a bonus scheme. This is a unique opportunity to work in a kitchen environment without split shifts, typically finishing by 8 PM.
