Responsibilities
- Proactively generate and convert wedding and event enquiries into confirmed bookings through prompt replies to email enquiries, phone calls and effective show rounds.
- Upsell resort features including spa experiences, golf packages, private dining and accommodation to maximise total event spend.
- Work with the hotel management team to monitor and analyse sales performance, marketing strategies and booking trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate pricing and invoicing of events.
- Collaborate with the sales team to manage availability and ensure decisions are made with business acumen.
People
- Act as the main point of contact for all wedding and event enquiries, delivering a seamless and personalised planning journey.
- Build strong working relationships with internal operational departments to ensure flawless event delivery.
- Represent the resort with professionalism and adopt a guest focused service approach.
- Support a culture of excellence and teamwork within the sales and events team, leading by example and sharing best practices.
Product
- Create bespoke wedding & event proposals promptly and accurately, showcasing the resort’s unique offerings and tailoring each experience to suit the client’s vision and expectations.
- Ensure that a proactive chasing system is in place for all potential new business, live enquiries & existing clients.
- Ensure that all wedding & event bookings have signed contractual agreement in place.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the resort’s venues, menus, packages and enhancements to confidently guide client choices.
- Work with the marketing specialist to ensure that all event materials, brochures and digital content are up to date.
- Gather and respond to client feedback to continually refine the wedding and events offering.
- Oversee all wedding & event details from inception to completion, including venue setup, décor, timeline management and co‑ordination throughout the day.
Planning
- Ensure that functions sheets for weddings & events are completed in an accurate and detailed fashion, distributed on the agreed day of the week and any amendments sent to all departments immediately.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of all weddings and events, with thorough communication and handovers completed.
- Prepare reports for discussion at weekly sales meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of all enquiries, bookings, and client communications using the resort’s systems.
- Contribute to the annual sales and marketing plan for weddings and events, helping to shape campaigns and promotions.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to keep the resort ahead of the curve.

- Location: Tewkesbury Park, Gloucestershire, GL20 7DN – In‑person
- Hours: 40 hours per week, to include Saturday cover and late evening viewings
- Minimum 28 days’ holiday per year, including bank holidays (or pro‑rated if you work part time)
