The Post
An opportunity has arisen within our Human Resources function for a People Data & Insights Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. As a People Data & Insights Analyst, you will:
Responsibilities
* Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns.
* Leverage a wide range of data sources and advanced analytics tools to provide meaningful insights.
* Present complex information clearly using effective data visualisation techniques.
* Communicate insights in a customer-focused environment, ensuring clarity and impact.
* Support core customers in accessing and analysing diverse data sets.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with proven experience in analysing and interpreting complex data within a professional setting, coupled with the ability to communicate insights effectively to a range of audiences. You should demonstrate experience and a strong understanding of at least one structured programming language used for data analysis, as well as proficiency in data visualisation tools to produce operational and bespoke reports and dashboards. You will also have experience in developing technical solutions to problems with minimal supervision, applying logical and structured approaches to problem-solving. A solid understanding of report construction and the ability to extract and manipulate data from relevant systems is essential. Experience with Tableau and Power Query is critical for success in this role. Working in a high-volume environment, you will need excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs. Location and Working Pattern
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow. Currently hybrid working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
