Project Worker (i-Rock Horsham District)
We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable, and dynamic Project Worker to join i-Rock Horsham District.
You will be part of an innovative and exciting safe space for young people, offering early intervention support to work with them at a crucial time in their lives—helping to get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.
As a Project Worker, your role will be to provide support during the project's opening hours, conduct triage of young people accessing the project, and offer advice and resources through brief support. You will also signpost effectively to other agencies and contribute to developing approaches for working with young people with support needs, including mental health, wellbeing, education, employment, training, and homelessness.
Main duties of the job
* Engage calmly, with sensitivity and empathy, to support service users in highly distressing or emotional circumstances.
* Carry out 1:1 sessions with young people, either through prebooked appointments or during drop-in services.
* Work in partnership with other agencies to achieve the best person-centered outcomes for young people.
* Ensure all service users are aware of and can access activities beneficial to them.
* Provide appropriate signposting and make onward referrals based on service users' needs.
* Offer a range of interventions and demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based models relevant to young people.
* Respond to concerns raised by schools, parents, or young people aged 14-25.
* Engage with and gather information from young people, relatives, and records to develop appropriate plans.
