SEND Teacher – Wolverhampton
An award-winning and highly respected group of specialist schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join the permanent staff team at their Wolverhampton site. This group is recognised for delivering exceptional education, care, and support to children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, enabling every learner to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and assess engaging, personalised learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils with diverse learning profiles, including autism, complex needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, the SEND Teacher will play a pivotal role in ensuring students receive the highest quality of education and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver differentiated, creative lessons that meet EHCP targets.
* Use a range of strategies and resources to engage and motivate learners.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting teaching as required.
* Maintain high expectations of behaviour, learning, and personal development.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and external agencies.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist setting.
* In-depth understanding of a range of special educational needs and relevant teaching approaches.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children, and ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
