About the Role
As a Psychology Graduate, you’ll work as a Learning Support Assistant, focusing on helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. You’ll gain hands-on experience with young people who have additional needs, including those with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges.
With training, you’ll also have the chance to step into a Cover Supervisor role—leading classes and managing learning environments while applying your psychology knowledge to support student engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
Work one-to-one and in small groups to build confidence and self-esteem
Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and wellbeing across the classroom
Support teachers in adapting lessons and approaches to meet learner needs
Step into a Cover Supervisor role once trained, delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining positive learning environments
Who We’re Looking For
A graduate with a 2:2 or above in Psychology (or a related discipline)
Strong interest in educational psychology, counselling, behaviour, or youth work
Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference
A flexible, proactive mindset and eagerness to learn
