Vision for Education are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of ICT/Computing to join a highly supportive SEND school team. The school is a supportive and inclusive SEND setting, catering for pupils aged 7–16 with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is highly committed to providing a high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of every pupil, enabling them to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment. The Role Plan and deliver engaging ICT/Computing lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum. Support pupils to develop digital literacy, computing skills, independence and confidence. Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with individual learning goals and EHCP outcomes. Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Promote effective use of technology across the curriculum. Contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing and the personal development of all pupils. We are looking for someone who: Is a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS/QTLS essential). Experience teaching ICT/Computing or a related subject. Knowledge of, or willingness to develop expertise in, SEND education. Understanding of SEMH. Is patient, resilient, and creative in their approach to teaching. Has strong behaviour-support skills. Can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. To be considered for the role, you will: Have a suitable qualification, (QTS/QTLS essential). Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities. Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners. Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
