Care Assistant (Contract)
Pay: £12.71 per hour, contracted to 40 hours per week.
Shift times: 08:00–15:00, 15:00–21:00, 08:00–21:00.
Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking. 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata).
As a Care Assistant, you will support adults living with a range of complex mental health conditions, including enduring mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, acquired brain injuries and the impact of previous drug or alcohol addiction. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person‑centred care that promotes dignity, independence, wellbeing and recovery.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
This is a hands‑on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
