in Downshire Hospital, Downpatrick in their Medical Records Team
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Medical Records team at Downshire Hospital, Downpatrick. As a Band 3 General Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support, ensuring that patient records and documentation are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Medical Records team.
2. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
3. Handle correspondence, telephone queries, and other communications in a professional manner.
4. Work effectively as part of a team to support smooth day-to-day operations.
5. Ability to use own initiative.
6. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
7. Effective communications skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
8. The ability to work in a challenging and changing environment.
9. The ability to effectively use office admin systems such as diary management and filing systems.
10. Ability to deal with being exposed to distressing content.
Essential Criteria
11. 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Maths OR 2 years Secretarial / Administration experience
12. Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
13. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
Desirable Criteria
14. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
