Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Construction team based in Waterbeach, Cambridge. As a Senior Estimator, you will develop profitable tenders that contribute to our growing pipeline of work, collaborating with design, planning, commercial and bid management teams to deliver exceptional projects across education, health, defence and other key sectors.
Responsibilities
* Estimate project costs and prepare tenders, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise risk and maximise value.
* Collaborate with design, planning, commercial and bid management teams throughout the tender process.
* Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
* Support the handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams.
Qualifications
* Experience working within a Main Contractor or Tier 1 Contractor environment.
* Proficiency in Excel, estimating software and take‑off tools such as Blue Beam.
* Demonstrable leadership experience within a pre‑construction team.
* Experience supporting and developing junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
* Conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail and knowledge of benchmarking and cost planning.
