Role: Business Analyst (Finance Systems) Contract: 6–12 months On-site: 4 days per week (Derby) Day Rate: £350 - £400 IR Status: Outside Interview: 1 stage process, onsite preferred (17–19 June) Start: ASAP after offer Industry: Legal Services Overview Right Legal, a fast-growing wills and probate business in Derby, is kicking off two major transformation projects: a Finance System Implementation and a Document Automation upgrade. We’re looking for a confident, delivery-focused Business Analyst to take ownership of the business analysis across both workstreams. This is a hands-on role for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to fast-moving projects. Key Responsibilities Finance Transformation Lead business analysis for the implementation of a newly selected finance system Map existing finance processes, identify gaps, and define what needs to change Work with the Finance Director and Head of Ops to shape the implementation plan Clarify configuration needs and ensure business readiness for the new system Support the early delivery stages before a dedicated Project Manager joins Document Automation Analyse current processes from client fact-find through to document creation Define requirements for a new document automation solution (replacing a legacy tool) Engage with internal teams to understand operational needs Work with the vendor to align technical delivery with business process goals What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Business Analyst on finance system projects Ability to run discovery, define requirements, and identify process improvements Comfortable with light-touch project management (e.g. timelines, prioritisation, stakeholder coordination) Confident communicator able to work with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively Strong process mapping and documentation skills Hands-on, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes Nice to have: Experience with document automation or legal tech (e.g. Clarilis, Archa, or similar tools)
