Overview
We are an innovative, family‑based service provider looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Quality & Compliance Officer to join our clients team in Hull. This is a key role responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the business with technical, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
Maintain, update, and develop the company's ISO Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
Plan, conduct, and document internal audits across operational areas.
Lead and support non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Manage the company complaints process, including investigation, communication, documentation, and resolution.
Carry out COSHH risk assessments and maintain up‑to‑date records in line with safety legislation.
Respond to internal and external technical queries, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided.
Health, Safety & Compliance Support
Support adherence to Health & Safety standards across the business.
Assist with compliance documentation, policies, and procedural updates.
Stock & Purchasing
Manage stock ordering, supplier liaison, and purchasing of materials in line with business needs.
Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Experience working with a Quality Management System, ideally ISO 9001:2015.
Understanding of Health & Safety principles.
Knowledge and practical experience of internal auditing.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate issues thoroughly.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confident handling customer complaints and providing clear resolutions.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Desirable
Experience within a service‑based or family‑run business environment.
Understanding of COSHH and/or previous experience carrying out COSHH assessments.
Purchasing or stock‑control experience.
