Bright Kids has established itself as a quality provider of children’s day care in the region and we have an exciting opportunity to become part of the Bright Kids management team at our established setting in Crabbs Cross, Redditch.
This post is suited to an experienced Manager who is confident, passionate and inspirational. The role of Nursery Manager will be to support all staff in their role within the setting, whilst also dealing with administration tasks such as invoicing, budget control and use of the funding portal. You should have the ability to manage and lead your staff team with a focused and strong leadership style. You should also be able to motivate, lead and inspire the staff team.

Overall purpose of the Job
To effectively manage the day-to-day and financial operations of the nursery and out of school clubs
To oversee the operations of the setting to a high standard of care and education to children in line with the Ethos, Core values, policies and procedures for Bright Kids.
To lead, manage and develop a staff team.
To provide a clean and well-maintained environment conducive with the Curiosity Approach and health and safety standards.
To ensure the curriculum is promoted and delivered throughout the setting.
To be part of the wider management team of the company.
Qualities and Experience:
We are looking for a person who is qualified to a minimum of level 3 in childcare with at least three year’s post-qualification experience within a Nursery setting. Higher qualifications would be an advantage. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the running of a Nursery must be shown. The ability to use computerised systems is essential. Previous management experience preferred, but at least two years supervisory experience is required. You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour.
We are also looking for a person who is able to work on his or her own initiative within the Nursery setting.
You should also:

Be flexible to meet the needs of the setting and the company as a whole.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
Be able to take action or make decisions in emergencies
Be approachable to all staff, parents and other professionals.

Hours:
While our positions are ideally full-time 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern between 7.30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, we are happy to discuss part time and flexible working pattern options.
Salary:
Up to £33,000 per annum FTE based on 42.5 hours per week inclusive of basic salary and bonuses earned including on target occupancy bonus. Subject to experience and qualification. (pro rata for part time)

A full DBS Certificate will be required prior to commencement
