Swift Referrals and Emergencies has an exciting opportunity for another Hospital Clinician to join their team.
Reporting to the Lead Hospital Clinician, you will work alongside our specialist-led clinicians to facilitate excellent client and patient care. This role involves a diverse mix of first-opinion emergency consultations, diagnostics, surgery, and assisting referral clinicians with complex investigations and inpatient care. Duties include:
1. Coordination of patient care for the referral caseload with referral clinicians.
2. Monitoring hospitalized patients regularly.
3. Conducting hospital clinician appointments and rechecks.
4. Assisting the medical team in patient work-ups.
5. Assisting surgeons during surgeries.
6. Performing ultrasound, radiography, and advanced imaging.
7. Triage and stabilization of emergency and critical cases.
8. Managing surgical emergencies for OOH cases.
9. Consulting on emergency referral and OOH cases for local practices.
Our full-time hospital vets typically work a 40-hour week, mainly on weekday shifts, with some night and weekend shifts shared among the team. We support flexible working patterns and are open to discussing specific schedules.

Swift Referrals and Emergencies is a specialist-led referral and emergency hospital located on the outskirts of Wetherby, West Yorkshire. We feature state-of-the-art technology, including a purpose-built ICU with emergency equipment such as point-of-care ultrasonography, oxygen kennels, ICU bays, multiparameter monitoring, and a radiography suite. Our extensive in-house laboratory offers coagulation profiles, blood gases, cortisol, CSF cytospin, and standard blood and urinalysis tests. Diagnostic equipment includes a 1.5T Siemens MRI, 128-slice GE CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound, and endoscopy.
Our talented team includes referral clinicians led by European Specialists, hospital clinicians supporting referral and out-of-hours services, nursing and ACA teams providing high-standard care, and a client care team dedicated to excellent service.
