Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Construction Specialist. This role involves a variety of tasks related to fabrication, assembly, and general construction work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, and will be comfortable using both hand and power tools. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
Responsibilities
* Perform fabrication and assembly tasks according to project specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction activities.
* Execute carpentry and joinery tasks, ensuring high-quality finishes.
* Assist with roofing projects, including installation and repairs.
* Conduct heavy lifting as required for moving materials and equipment.
* Engage in construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures.
* Carry out plumbing tasks including installations, repairs, and maintenance work.
* Support masonry activities such as bricklaying and stonework as needed.
* Apply electrical experience to assist with wiring, fixtures, and installations.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or general construction roles.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
* Strong skills in carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work are highly desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues on site.
