Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – Stockport Full-time | ASAP Start | £90–£120 per day (depending on experience) Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport to appoint a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain first-hand classroom experience, particularly suited to aspiring teachers, education graduates, or individuals with prior youth mentoring or classroom support experience. Role Overview: You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson content in the absence of the class teacher, managing classroom behaviour, ensuring student engagement, and reporting back on progress to teaching staff. This role requires confidence in managing groups of students aged 11–16 and the ability to maintain a calm, structured learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise whole-class lessons in various subjects, ensuring students remain on task. Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies. Provide support to individual students where required. Manage the collection and return of student work and equipment. Report to the appropriate staff member regarding student behaviour and lesson outcomes. Candidate Requirements: Minimum of GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above). Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, or youth work setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
