Overview

SEND 121 is a dedicated role focused on supporting individuals with special educational needs and disabilities, particularly those with autism. The position involves working closely with children, fostering their development through tailored teaching strategies and compassionate care. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and possess the necessary skills to support their unique needs.

Responsibilities

* Provide one-on-one support to children with autism and other disabilities, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Implement teaching strategies that cater to the learning styles of each child, promoting engagement and understanding.
* Assist in the development of personalised education plans (PEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and communication among peers.
* Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with parents and educators regarding each child's development.
* Engage in toddler care as needed, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for younger children.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to special education and working with disabilities.

Requirements

* Experience working with people with autism or other disabilities is essential.
* A background in teaching or special education is highly desirable.
* Previous experience with children, particularly in an educational or care setting, is preferred.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
