CNC Miller (Heidenhain)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Location: Huddersfield
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering business based in Huddersfield. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with high-spec machinery in a precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC machines to carry out precision machining operations
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
* Select, install, and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding equipment
* Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
* Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and product quality
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances
* Troubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues as they arise
* Mazak turning experience is preferred but not essential
Machinery You’ll Be Working On
* SCHARMANN Twin Pallet Horizontal & Depo 1212 – Heidenhain control
* Depo 1212 Machining Centre – Heidenhain TNC 530 control
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a CNC Miller or in a similar machining role
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
* Strong understanding of machining principles and mechanical processes
* Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining
* Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software would be advantageous
