Working closely with the Operations Director and senior leadership team, this is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, planning, materials, and quality operations. Key responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic operational plans and performance targets
• Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations in line with company objectives and global quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing initiatives
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs to improve performance and efficiency
• Manage production scheduling, stock control, distribution, and logistics processes
• Oversee the transfer of new product developments into full-scale production
• Analyse inventory and delivery issues and implement effective solutions
• Develop and strengthen the company’s supply chain to mitigate operational risks
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of operational teams
• Manage the company fleet process and implement operational improvements
• Ensure safe, efficient working environments that support employee wellbeing and productivity
• Work closely with Sales and other departments to forecast demand and support customer deliveries
Experience required:
• Proven operational management experience
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong people management and leadership background
• Experience driving operational change and process improvement
• Understanding of purchasing processes and MRP systems
Skills required:
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate, influence, and develop teams
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Resilient, proactive, and solution-focused approach
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Outlook
• SAP Business One knowledge would be advantageous
