INTRODUCTION
With the latest evolution of Unilever's operating model, the One Unilever Markets cluster organization has been created to manage the rest of the markets Unilever operates in around the globe. The role of this cluster is to deploy business strategies swiftly and effectively, with its own standalone R&D organization equipped with category and functional expertise to enable innovation, 5S, UBS, and sustainability programs, as defined by business leaders.
JOB PURPOSE
1UL Europe, the largest market cluster with a turnover of approximately €2bn across 8 countries, offers a unique opportunity for a role responsible for leading scientific relationships with key customers. You will communicate Unilever's superior technology and products compellingly to internal and external audiences, working on iconic brands like Dove, Vaseline, Tresemme, Lynx/Axe, and Signal, as well as local brands such as Zendium, Neutral, and Baba. This role supports the Social First Marketing agenda and involves working closely with R&D, Customer Development, CSP, and Marketing teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This dynamic role involves activities such as:
* Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to deliver scientific engagement and activation with trade partners, supporting a digital-first demand creation agenda.
* Adapting communication assets to resonate with customers and consumers in 1UL markets through videos, presentations, in-person sessions, and social media content, contributing to local jewel brands.
* Assisting in deploying BG innovations by managing claims testing, risk assessments, approvals, and activation activities.
* Implementing digital and agile work practices to develop and share assets efficiently across teams.
* Developing deep category, market, and product expertise to uncover insights, consumer needs, trends, and competitive intelligence.
ALL ABOUT YOU
Successful candidates will be adaptable, collaborative, and creative R&D professionals with a solid grounding in core R&D roles, ideally with experience in CTI/Claims. Key qualities include:
* Dynamic and adaptable mindset, eager to learn and grow daily.
* Passion for storytelling and customer engagement.
* Effective communication skills for non-technical audiences.
* Understanding of Europe's legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape.
* Experience in risk assessments in product claims and communication.
* Creativity, attention to detail, and discipline.
* Team player with experience working with external partners.
* Keen on digital tools and innovation.
* Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to 1UL EU markets are a plus.
