A rapidly growing UK-based group is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their expanding Central Accounting Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a large, fast‑paced finance function that supports a wide portfolio of grouppanies.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality transactional accounting services across multiple group businesses. Full training will be provided on‑site at the Helsby office, with the opportunity to work 1 day from home per week after successfullypleting a six‑month probation period.
Key Responsibilities
1. Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses using a paperless automated accounts system across multi‑currency databases
2. Verifying receipts againstpany expense policies and identifying VAT reclaimable under HMRC guidelines
3. Handling supplier queries and responding to payment requests
4. Verifying supplier bank details to ensure accurate and secure payment processing
5. Processing weekly supplier and employee expense payment runs
6. Reviewing CIS deductions and assisting with thepletion of returns
Person Specification
7. AAT or equivalent accounting qualification (advantageous), or qualified by experience
8. Strongmunication and organisational skills
9. Ability to analyse and interpret financial information
10. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
