This exciting pipeline of work, coupled with the scale of opportunity across the AMP8 cycle in the UK including supporting Southern Water means that we are seeking CAD Technicians and Digital Designers at all levels with experience in the water/wastewater industry to join us. As well as delivering work locally, you will have the opportunity to support Southern Water's AMP8 Professional Services Framework in delivering vital resilience and improvement schemes across the South of England. This includes identifying and designing nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reduce overflows, boost biodiversity, and spearhead best practices in hydraulic modelling, water recycling, and digital innovation. As a Senior CAD Technician, youll work as part of our respected Digital Design team, collaborating with skilled technicians and engineers on some of the most technically complex and exciting projects in the water sector. Youll use a variety of 2D and 3D softwareincluding Civil 3D and Revit and have the opportunity to mentor and train junior colleagues in the most effective use of CAD software. Youll report to a Regional Discipline Lead, who will provide you with technical guidance and support to help you continue developing your career. Duties include: Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements Collaborating with engineers, consultants, and technicians from multiple disciplines Managing personal workload plans and ensuring delivery deadlines are met Working within Common Data Environments About you: Youll have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or in a similar digital delivery rolepreferably in the water or energy sectors. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate: Experience in developing design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design teams Experience working in Common Data Environments using data management systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise Familiarity with ISO 19650 and delivering information in accordance with these standards Expertise in 2D and 3D BIM delivery using industry-standard tools from Autodesk and Bentley The ability to organise and manage workloads across multiple projects Willingness to mentor junior colleagues in BIM and new software developments Finally, you will share our passion for innovation and client service, and be eager to tackle a range of challenges as we continue to grow within the sector.
