Job Advert: Digital Champion at Fordbridge Community Primary School

Position: Digital Champion (IT Technician & Curriculum Support)
Hours: 35 hours per week, term‑time only
Salary Band: Band C
Location: Fordbridge Community Primary School
Start Date: March 2026 (or as soon as possible)


About Us

Fordbridge Community Primary School is committed to providing a dynamic, engaging, and inspiring learning environment for all our students. As we continue to embrace the digital age, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Digital Champion to support both our teaching staff and students in the integration of ICT across the curriculum and extra‑curricular activities.


Your Role

1. ICT Curriculum Classroom Assistance

You will work closely with teachers, assisting with the delivery of ICT lessons, running a lunchtime club, and supporting students with their digital learning. You’ll help foster a love of technology in the classroom and build students’ ICT skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

2. Social Media Lead

Lead the school's social media presence and school newsletter, showcasing ICT initiatives and celebrating student and staff achievements. This role connects and informs parents and the wider community while promoting Fordbridge’s vibrant, forward‑thinking environment.

3. IT Technician Support

Provide IT technical support during lessons, support the IT team, and ensure systems and devices run smoothly. Responsibilities include reporting issues, maintaining inventory, clearing profiles, and storing devices.


Additional Responsibilities

* Contribute to the ICT extra‑curricular offer by supporting and running after‑school tech clubs or coding workshops.
* Be part of the Personal Development Team to help identify and implement new ways to integrate digital skills across the school.
* Collaborate with staff to introduce innovative digital resources that engage students and prepare them for the future.
* Support pupils across the school with staying safe online in partnership with the online safety team.


Who Are We Looking For?

* Enthusiastic & Self‑Motivated – A natural problem solver with a passion for technology and education.
* Knowledgeable in ICT – Minimum level 4 GCSE in Maths and English, and at least Level 2 in ICT (or equivalent).
* A Great Communicator – Ability to explain technical information clearly to staff and students.
* A Team Player – Collaborative, flexible, and works effectively as part of a dedicated team.
