University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust offers the opportunity for a friendly, dynamic and forward‑thinking radiographer to join our radiotherapy team. The role involves treatment of radiotherapy patients on linear accelerators at the main site and rotation to our satellite centre in Basingstoke.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Normal department working hours are 07:00–20:00 (Monday–Friday) with on‑call services for MSCC patients during weekends. The department has a commitment to ongoing professional development, regular in‑house training, supervision and staff appraisal.
* Deliver radiotherapy treatment using available equipment, under the supervision of Band 6 Radiographers.
* Calculate and record radiotherapy treatments accurately and maintain written records.
* Be responsible for the well‑being and care of patients during radiotherapy.
* Maintain all treatment records to department standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers.
* State Registration with the HCPC.
* Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
* Experience with a wide variety of radiotherapy techniques and equipment.
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and work as a team member.
* Ability to work under own initiative and take instruction/direction.

Qualifications / Training Required
* Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Radiography or the College of Radiographers.
* State Registration with the HCPC.
* Further study or training courses are desirable.
Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
* Evidence of team working and experience with a variety of radiotherapy techniques and equipment.
