Job Description And Main Responsibilities
We are a CHKS-accredited department delivering highly specialised radiotherapy treatments for a variety of tumour sites. The department is a large radiotherapy centre with a full brachytherapy service and planning and treatment capabilities across sites. The post holder will be responsible for radiotherapy pre-treatment and treatment delivery as part of a team within the Basingstoke Satellite Centre.
* Lead the delivery of radiotherapy treatment.
* Calculate and record radiotherapy treatments accurately.
* Lead in the planning of radiotherapy treatment.
* Be responsible for the well-being and care of patients during their radiotherapy.

What We’re Looking For
* Enthusiastic individuals with a Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or a Diploma from the College of Radiographers.
* State Registration with the HCPC.
* Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
* Experience with a wide variety of Radiotherapy techniques & equipment.
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and to lead and work as part of a team.
* Ability to work under own initiative and follow instructions within the role.
* Normal department working hours include 7.5-hour shifts between 07:00 and 20:00 (Monday–Friday) with on-call services for MSCC patients during weekends.

Qualifications / Training
* Essential: Degree in Therapeutic Radiography, or Diploma of the College of Radiographers; HCPC registration; defined area of specialist practice/experience with caseload management.
* Desirable: Higher degree or Diploma in Management; project management/educational experience; understanding of wider Radiotherapy agenda.
Experience
* Essential: Experience of working to a high standard with a wide variety of Radiotherapy techniques & equipment; knowledge of modern radiotherapy techniques; ability to lead and work in a team; ability to manage a unit, use own initiative, and be punctual.
* Desirable: Experience and practice with the latest technological advances.
