Location: Hybrid – Work from home or from one of our office locations in Selby, Richmond, Scarborough, Malton, Northallerton, Skipton, or Harrogate, with an expectation of attending the NYBCP Head Office at Easingwold when required.

We are recruiting across all levels:
* Building Control Manager - Circa £56k + 10% Recruitment Payment
* Principal Building Control Surveyor - Circa £52k + 10% Recruitment Payment
* Senior Building Control Surveyor - Circa £48k + 10% Recruitment Payment
* Building Control Surveyor - Circa £43k + 10% Recruitment Payment
What You’ll Do:
Depending on the role level, your responsibilities may include:
* Conducting site inspections and assessing plans for compliance with Building Regulations.
* Managing complex or high-risk developments and leading on enforcement actions.
* Mentoring and developing junior surveyors.
* Leading large-scale projects and investigations (Principal level).
* Managing and developing a team of surveyors and overseeing operational performance (Manager level).
* Supporting innovation, policy development, and service transformation.
What You’ll Bring
We’re seeking people who are:
* Qualified to Class 2a or above with the Building Safety Regulator (or working towards).
* Skilled in interpreting and applying Building Regulations and associated legislation.
* Excellent communicators with the ability to advise a range of stakeholders.
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
* Strong team players with leadership experience (for Principal and Manager roles).
* Passionate about safety, sustainability, and high-quality building control.
