Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Hysteroscopist to join our Gynaecology team. This is a newly funded post within our gynae services and we are looking to recruit an experienced nurse into our friendly, expanding and evolving hysteroscopy team. The role aims to develop and integrate hysteroscopy services within Gynae.
The post-holder will be an advanced nurse practitioner responsible for a defined caseload, providing highly specialist nursing support, advice, education and/or care. They will oversee assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care, and support evidence-based practice within hysteroscopy. The nurse will independently assess, diagnose, and manage care for women referred to the hysteroscopy clinic in line with National, Regional and local hysteroscopy protocols and will audit the service against national guidelines (BSGE, NICE, SIGN, RCOG).

Qualifications and experience
Essential
* Degree or equivalent level of education or experience
* Appropriate NMC Registration (RGN/RM/RN Child/RSCN)
* Accredited Hysteroscopist BSGE/RCOG - active
Desirable
* Evidence of further study/knowledge at Masters level or equivalent in a health-related subject
* Leadership or management development qualification
Experience and knowledge
* Significant post-registration experience at band 7, including experience in a relevant clinical specialty
* Experience in assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients
* Experience of working in a gynecology specialty
* Strong analytical and specialist clinical skills underpinning practice
Communication
* Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with others to prioritise patient care
* Desirable: communication course
