Transport Administrator – Hinckley People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our well-established client based in Hinckley. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. Shifts • Monday to Friday • 07:00 – 15:00 Rates of Pay • £12.21 per hour Benefits • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Overtime available • Onsite canteen, vending machines and pool tables • Locker rooms and changing facilities • Training provided • Opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks • Free parking • Immediate starts Day-to-Day Duties • Preparing and maintaining shipment documents, invoices and logbook entries • Consulting with drivers to ensure smooth movement of goods and materials • Inputting delivery and collection details onto transport systems • Updating driver schedules and route information • Preparing and issuing delivery notes and transport paperwork • Logging proof of delivery (PODs) and chasing missing documentation • Answering phone calls and emails from drivers and customers • Providing basic delivery status updates to customers • Filing, scanning and maintaining transport records • Checking driver timesheets and mileage sheets for accuracy • Assisting with compliance administration (vehicle checks, MOT dates and licences) • Maintaining spreadsheets and daily transport logs • Supporting transport planners with general admin and ad-hoc tasks Essential Skills • Previous experience in an Admin or Transport Administrator role • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Hard-working and reliable • Good attention to detail • Approachable and professional attitude Desirable Experience • Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment Training Provided • Full training provided Apply If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
