Our client have a succesful Steel Beam business in St Albans and are looking for a mid level CAD Designer to join their busy and successful team. Liasiing between the clients, estimators, welder/fabricators and the wider team within the warehouse, you will be an integral part of the companies processes. Working with clients to get an understanding of their requiremnets, and providing suitable efficient designs for quotations to be created and provided to the customers. As a CAD Designer you will be working on a variety of projects for a mixture of house builders and contractors. Key Responsibilities: * Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for steel structures, fabrications, and components. * Liaise closely with the sales, project management, and procurement teams to understand project requirements. * Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and written instructions for steel fabrication and erection. * Revise and update CAD files in line with project and customer requirements, ensuring all technical data complies with relevant industry standards. * Participate in design meetings, providing technical input and solutions to optimise steelwork layouts and details. * Ensure all drawings and models are appropriately documented and archived in accordance with company processes. * Assist with the preparation of material and cutting lists for fabrication and procurement purposes...
