Position: Geography Teacher Location: Aylesbury Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £29,344 - £44,919 (MPS/UPS) Start Date: September 2025
A well-regarded secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students through engaging and dynamic Geography lessons while contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
* Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable)
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback
* Foster curiosity about the world, environmental awareness, and spatial thinking
* Support the development of the Humanities curriculum and fieldwork opportunities
* Maintain strong classroom management and cultivate a positive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support whole-school initiatives
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Geography specialist who can bring their subject to life in the classroom.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge of physical and human geography topics
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management
* Ability to engage students of all abilities and backgrounds
Preferred
* Experience with fieldwork planning and delivery
* Familiarity with GCSE (and A-Level) exam board specifications
