Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice located in Lurgan, County Armagh. This purpose-built and newly renovated facility has capacity for a five-vet team and is home to a long-standing, loyal client base. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, with a friendly team that takes pride in delivering exceptional veterinary care.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent, part-time role covering 1 in 3 weekends (08:00–13:00) and ad hoc annual leave cover. The employer is open to flexible working arrangements and would consider a fixed-term contract, making it ideal for locum vets seeking guaranteed hours alongside flexibility.
Role Description
This role involves consultations and routine clinical care, with scope to contribute to a high-performing and positive team environment. You’ll be providing continuity of care for clients and pets alike, while working collaboratively with the wider team. This role suits someone looking to complement an existing work schedule or ease into part-time work in a friendly and well-run setting.
Team Size
The practice team is cohesive, experienced, and enjoys coming to work in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. The practice can accommodate up to five veterinary surgeons, supporting a diverse and balanced clinical workload.
Practice Details
This modern and well-equipped site has recently undergone renovation and is purpose-built to support both patient care and staff wellbeing. The facility supports a wide range of small animal cases in a bright and comfortable environment, and receives excellent feedback from the local community.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a team-focused attitude and a passion for client care. You will be comfortable working independently, confident in consultations, and interested in contributing to a collaborative, positive workplace. Experience in small animal practice and the ability to support nurse-led clinics are desirable.
