Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Sales Director to join their team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to lead the sales function, drive growth strategies, and achieve significant financial targets within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Sales function within the company.
* Execute sales growth strategies to achieve company-wide financial targets agreed with the CEO.
* Achieve personal sales targets agreed with the CEO.
* Expand sales into new markets and regions.
* Line manage and build good working relationships within the sales team.
* Develop and mentor junior sales staff, offering structured advice and support.
* Foster strong working relationships between the Sales and Engineering functions.
* Provide key market information to the Engineering team to ensure product alignment with market requirements.
* Oversee Sales team recruitment and create training programmes for new and existing employees.
* Analyse market trends and results.
Key Measure of Success:
* Meet and exceed agreed new sales order targets.
* Build pipeline value year on year.

Experience/Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a senior sales role, ideally within the defence sensors industry.
* Ability to obtain UK security clearance.
* Full UK driving licence.
