Train with the best.

The Royal Army Veterinary Corps (RAVC) plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and performance of our Military Working Animals (MWAs). As a Veterinary Officer in the RAVC, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional animal care, training, and preventive medicine for these highly valued animals.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to manage and enhance the capabilities of MWAs, working closely with your own team of dedicated soldiers. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in maintaining the health and welfare of these animals, as well as optimizing their performance in various military operations.

While dealing with animal health issues similar to civilian practice, you will also face distinctive veterinary challenges that are specific to the Army. Beyond the professional aspects, being a Veterinary Officer in the RAVC offers loads of rewarding experiences. You will have the chance to travel domestically and internationally, providing veterinary support wherever it is needed. You will have the opportunity to engage in sports and Adventurous Training, further enriching your military experience.

Joining the RAVC as a Veterinary Officer is not just a job, but a fulfilling and dynamic career that combines your passion for animals with your commitment to serving in the military. You will be part of a dedicated team, making a significant impact on the well-being and effectiveness of our Military Working Animals, while also enjoying a range of exciting opportunities and experiences.
