Welcome from the Principal:
Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas. Our recent Ofsted Inspection recognised the many strengths of the school as we secured judgements of Good across all areas. The report was extremely positive and had many highlights, including that we are 'an ambitious school with high standards', that 'Staff care deeply for pupils', that 'Pupils are happy and demonstrate industrious attitudes to learning' and that 'Pupils experience great success’.
About the role:
Are you a highly skilled and adaptable professional ready to take on a complex role supporting student achievement across all learning platforms?
We are opening an Advanced Resource Provision at Outwood Academy Bydales for September 2026, aimed at providing appropriate provision for students with communication and interaction as their primary need. To support this, we are looking to appoint an Advanced Teaching Assistant, crucial in delivering targeted interventions and high-quality learning activities to individuals and small groups as part of this provision; as well as supporting these students in mainstream lessons.
This is an opportunity for an experienced individual to monitor progress, implement statutory development plans, and support diverse student needs. We are looking for somebody with a passion for supporting students with ASD, who understands the differing needs of students and has the empathy and determination to help them succeed.
