Applications are invited for a permanent, part-time (18 hours/week / 4.5 Programmed Activities) Consultant post in Nephrology at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is the main teaching hospital for North East Scotland, providing tertiary renal services for NHS Grampian, Shetland, and Orkney. The Renal Unit offers Peritoneal and Haemodialysis across the region, with inpatient care in the state-of-the-art Emergency Care Centre. The unit specializes in multisystem vasculitis and collaborates with other departments. Renal transplantation is performed at the Edinburgh Transplant Unit, with follow-up in Aberdeen. The unit is involved in research with the University of Aberdeen and offers postgraduate education at the Suttie Centre.
Aberdeen offers a high quality of life, with excellent amenities, housing, schools, and transport links, including flights to London and connections to other UK and European cities. The surrounding countryside includes Royal Deeside and Cairngorm Mountain National Park, ideal for outdoor activities.

UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within six months of GMC Specialist Register entry. Alternatively, candidates with CESR / CESR (CP) are eligible. Non-GMC Specialist Register applicants with appropriate training may be considered for a locum position (up to 12 months) while applying for CESR / CCT.
