Management Accountant (Part-Qualified)

Design Studio

6 months contract, temp to perm

Full time in the London office

We are seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Management Accountant to support the finance function within a growing design studios delivering high value, project based work.

This role offers excellent exposure to project accounting, management reporting, budgeting, and commercial finance, working closely with both finance and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor project costs, revenues, and profitability across live projects.
• Assist with WIP reporting and project performance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
• Investigate variances and provide insight into project and business performance.
• Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support process improvements and financial controls across the business.

• About You
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent and actively studying to qualify in the next 12-18 months
  • Previous experience in a Management Accounts or Assistant Accountant role.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across finance and operational teams.
  • Experience within construction, property, engineering, consultancy, or project based environments is advantageous.
