Finance Assistant
Responsible to Finance Manager, Group Finance Director

General responsibility To assist in the management of the company’s financial affairs in line with applicable
accounting standards.
Specific responsibilities • Maintenance of accounting records for the company
• Perform project invoicing on a weekly basis
• Perform preferred supplier invoicing monthly
• Maintain sales records, contract sales and sales g/l in COINS
• Monthly customer statement reconciliations
• Maintain project accounting records
• Maintain cashbook and perform bank reconciliation daily on COINS
• Maintain procurement records, supplier, and sub-contractor g/l in COINS
• Provide support in the processing of supplier and sub-contractor invoices (as and
when needed)
• Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
• Assistance with the weekly supplier payment run
• Processing of employee expenses
• Manage the finance team mailbox (as and when needed)
• Month end close deadlines and assistance with month end processes
• Support co-workers within the finance team on other ad-hoc tasks
• Daily Purchase order and payments transfer to COINS
• Accounts payable management, resolving supplier queries and monitoring supplier
credit limits
• To comply with all company policies and procedures that relate to anti-bribery,
quality, environment and health and safety
Skills / experience required
• Keen desire to work in a fast-
Minimum 2 years’ purchase or sales ledger experience paced environment
• Construction industry experience desirable
• Positive, proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
