The successful candidate will support the Criminal Justice Team in reducing drug-related crime in Bristol, aligned with the government's 10-year drug strategy "from Harm to Hope". Responsibilities include managing a caseload of criminal justice clients, ensuring treatment compliance, and working closely with police, prisons, courts, and probation services. The role involves collaboration with the wider Bristol Horizons team to deliver service ambitions.

Key duties include:

* Court-ordered treatments
* Prison in-reach
* Drug testing on arrest interventions
* Police custody in-reach
* Continuity of care for prison leavers
* Reducing female engagement in the criminal justice system

This role is ideal for those with experience as a Recovery Worker or Outreach Worker, with a strong understanding of substance use and recovery. Flexibility, knowledge of relapse barriers, and excellent communication skills are essential. A vocational qualification such as NVQ 3 or equivalent is preferred. Responsibilities include managing recovery sessions, risk assessments, care planning, and reduction plans. IT proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. A full driving license and access to a car are desirable.

Turning Point offers services nationwide, including drug and alcohol treatment, family services, housing advice, and criminal justice support. The Horizons partnership in Bristol, involving Turning Point and Bristol Drugs Project, aims to deliver integrated substance use treatment and recovery services.

The role is based at our central Bristol hub, with a starting salary of £25,116, increasing to £29,383 with pay progression. Salary may be higher depending on experience. Career development opportunities are available, supporting progression into management or specialist roles such as an Advanced Substance Use Practitioner.
