Overview
Administrative Assistant to join the Quality and Regulatory Team at the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU). SCTU is based at the Southampton General Hospital site and manages a growing portfolio of multi-centre clinical trials that influence routine clinical practice and patient care. The role supports maintaining and developing vital quality and regulatory systems to ensure trials meet high regulatory standards and prioritise patient safety.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with internal and external clinical research teams
* Track, report and file quality documents
* Support pharmacovigilance tasks
* Set up new systems to complement existing ones
Qualifications
* Strong English communication skills with excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
* Good organisational skills with the ability to understand and rationalise problems
* Ability to follow standard procedures and enter information accurately into in-house databases
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical trial regulations is desirable; full training will be provided
Details
* Location: Southampton General Hospital, Centre for Cancer Immunology building
* Contract: 24-month fixed-term; full-time available; part-time considered (minimum 0.8 FTE)
* Working pattern: hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office pro-rata) with flexible home-working arrangements to be discussed at interview
