This role focuses on designing, deploying, and automating technical infrastructure services within BDO Global IT, emphasizing infrastructure as code, administration, and operations to ensure data service integrity, availability, performance, recoverability, and security.
Key accountabilities
Responsibilities include:
* Managing core cloud platform services across Microsoft Azure.
* Collaborating with architects to design cloud infrastructure.
* Automating recurring tasks and processes.
* Designing deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code templates.
* Resolving escalated tickets and communicating effectively via helpdesk, email, voice, and Teams, following ITSM standards.
* Ensuring business continuity through replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
* Standardizing and documenting procedures for automation or manual execution.
* Providing customer support and contributing to team objectives.
* Participating in projects to change, establish, or retire services from an operational perspective.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
* Minimum five years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience.
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge in:
- Azure tenant, subscription, and resource management.
* Creating deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
* PowerShell scripting.
* Microsoft 365.
Experience with custom applications, ITIL framework, change management, service delivery, and ITSM systems is preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills are essential.
