Your new role
Thepany is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and build projects, with a proven track record in estimating for plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems. Hybrid working conditions would be considered for this role, allowing you to balance office and remote work.Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical services projects, including plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.
2. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepareprehensive estimates.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate andpetitive pricing.
4. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
5. Maintain and update a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
6. Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to clients and management.
7. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and contract negotiations.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or mechanical services industry.
10. Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.
11. Design and build experience is essential.
12. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
13. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
14. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
16. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
