Job responsibilities
This post is offered bank basis on a working flexible, ad‑hoc hours to support business need. Our ward shifts include long and short days and nights. This role would be covering planned and unplanned gaps in shifts such as absence, holidays and last minute gaps cancellations.
Qualifications
* A good standard of Education, Minimum GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
* Evidence of professional development in the speciality of palliative care
* Diploma in Palliative Care/Oncology/Community or working towards
Experience
* Ability to plan, implement and evaluate care
* Good communication skills, both oral and written
* Drug calculation skills and awareness of the NMC Standards of Medicines Management
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Organisation skills: to organise self and workload
* Some post qualification experience (at least 3 months), general nursing experience
* Previous palliative care experience
* Community experience
