Civil Project Supervisor - Major Infrastructure (Energy Sector)
Location: Aberdeenshire, Scotland (Site‑Based)
Rate: £785 per day (Inside IR35, via PAYE Umbrella)
Contract: 12 Months + Likely Extension
Hours: 40 per week

About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced civil engineering supervisor who thrives on large, complex infrastructure projects? This role puts you at the centre of major UK energy construction works-supporting the delivery of high‑value civil, structural and foundation packages that are critical to the future of the UK's energy network.
You'll work client‑side on a flagship programme, ensuring safe, compliant and coordinated site delivery across multiple contractors and disciplines.
What You'll Be Doing
Programme & Coordination
Monitor daily and weekly progress against plan
Flag emerging risks, delays and bottlenecks
Help maintain smooth communication between contractors, engineers and project teams
Drawings, Specs & Technical Oversight
Review drawings and ensure correct revisions are used on site
Check compliance with design standards and construction procedures
Support updates, design clarifications and as‑built documentation
Quality Assurance
Carry out site checks in line with ITPs
Record defects/snags and support close‑out activities
Health, Safety & RAMS
Promote a strong safety culture with regular walkovers
Monitor RAMS compliance and escalate concerns appropriately
Temporary Works Monitoring
Observe temporary works installations and procedures
Raise issues and work with contractors to resolve safely
Site Records & Reporting
Maintain a detailed site diary
Provide accurate, timely information for project reporting and decision‑making
General Support
Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Engineers
Attend progress meetings and proactively help troubleshoot issues
What You'll Need
Essential
Full right to work in the UK
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong civil engineering/site supervision background on infrastructure, utilities or energy projects
Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and site safety leadership
Ability to interpret drawings/specs and resolve on‑site issues
Confident contractor oversight and problem‑solving skills
Desirable
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Experience in major energy infrastructure such as substations, power plants or HVDC projects
