Responsibilities
* Utilising the company’s bespoke CRM system
* Communicating with customers via telephone and email
* Creating quotations for prospects, new and existing customers daily
* Interpreting information provided by the customer to understand their requirements
* Sourcing prices from various manufacturers and suppliers while checking product compatibility and availability to meet strict deadlines
* Advising customers on appropriate products, pricing and lead times
* Liaising with both internal and external colleagues to support the conversion of enquiries into quotations and subsequently orders
* Working to deadlines in order to meet customer expectations
* Staying up to date with current product knowledge and trends
Qualifications
* Good all‑round knowledge of the plumbing & heating industry
* Appreciation of the demands of working within the merchant industry
* Understanding the importance of teamwork and how it can improve service levels for customers
* Ability to demonstrate an understanding and passion for excellence in customer service
* IT, numeracy and analytical skills required
Working Conditions
This is a full‑time, permanent role, working 40hours per week from either our Rainham or Branston office (hybrid work pattern to be discussed).
