Stress Engineer / Analyst Engineer
Key Responsibilities
* The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs in conjunction with designated KPI's
* The ability to own problems and provide pragmatic engineering solutions to challenging timescales and budgets
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives
* Attend PDR, DDR reviews to provide detailed reports
* Generate detailed technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results and recommendations
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support the development and improvement
* Conduct thorough analysis and investigations of non‑conformance issues, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis
* Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve non‑conformance issues and improve overall product quality
* Maintain accurate documentation of non‑conformance reports, investigations, and corrective actions
Required Skills (Technical Competency)
* Proficient in stress analysis packages (e.g., ANSYS, MSC Nastran, Altair HyperMesh), ideally ANSYS
* Experience in the analysis of complex engineering structures
* Expert knowledge in conventional (hand calculation) techniques for static analysis
* Proficient knowledge of numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis
* Experience in structural analysis of mechanical components, parts, assemblies and sub‑assemblies for heavy industry, power transmission systems, gear and gearbox
* Familiarity with structural analysis practices and methodologies, including significant structural redesigns
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
* Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defense industry
* Experience in heavy engineering industry, power transmission systems, gears and gearbox
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
