We are seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer for Integral Cooling Technology to cover client sites within Scotland and North.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM on all types of heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration systems utilising all types of refrigerants – ammonia, F‑Gas (HFC and HFO), carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.
* Reactive service including fault‑finding mechanical, electrical and control systems, including performing emergency standby rota duties.
* Compressor repairs and overhauls.
* Leak testing.
* Pressure testing.
* Refrigerant recovery and charging.
* Ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team to effect attainment of agreed targets and objectives.
* Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers business requirements and operations.
* Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken – a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word.
* Completion of all relevant documentation to a high standard.
* General plant room and equipment housekeeping duties.
Experience and Qualifications
* Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship in Refrigeration.
* CITB Safety Passport.
* City & Guilds 2078 / 2079 F‑Gas Refrigerant Handling / CITB Ammonia Handling Certificate / A3 Refrigerant Handling / CO2 Refrigerant Handling.
* City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
* NVQ1, 2 & 3 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
* Pressure Testing Competency.
* Specific Compressor Manufacturers Training Courses.
* Controls and Strategy experience.
Location
Remote – Glasgow, GBR, Tyne and Wear, GBR.
