The team is renowned for advising on leveraged buyouts, refinancings and direct lending transactions for global private equity clients. You will gain unparalleled exposure to cross-border dealmaking, often coordinating English and New York law elements, and working directly with high-profile sponsors such as Advent, Bain, KKR, EQT and Permira.ResponsibilitiesAdvise leading private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on leveraged buyouts, take-privates, refinancings, and recapitalisations.Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for senior, subordinated, unitranche, and high-yield debt facilities.Coordinate multi-jurisdictional financings (UK, US, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Jersey), working closely with the firm’s New York and European offices.Support clients through all stages of a transaction, from structuring and due diligence to closing and post-deal refinancings.Collaborate with partners and cross-practice teams (private equity, capital markets, restructuring) to deliver fully integrated advice.Maintain strong relationships with sponsor clients and lenders, providing strategic, business-focused guidance on financing flexibility and risk management.RequirementsQualified to practice law in England & Wales.2–8 years’ PQE gained within a leading international or US law firm.Strong experience in leveraged finance, with exposure to private credit, sponsor-led buyouts, public bids and refinancings.Solid technical drafting and negotiation skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
