At Mountain Warehouse, our Platform team look after the behind-the-scenes infrastructure, software, and tools of our Azure cloud platform.
On the Platform team you will help to deploy, manage, fix and reinvent the tools, services and components that the platform relies on to automate our services and keep it operational. At Mountain Warehouse we have a large Development department who will act as your customer and fellow colleagues, and through close collaboration, support, and exchange of ideas, we share a common goal to serve our external customers and grow through learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
Working on projects that support our Infrastructure, DevOps and Cybersecurity plans.
Collaboratively identifying those projects and creating long-term plans.
Carrying out day-to-day management and support of our infrastructure to a high standard.
Work closely with the development teams and ensure they can continue to deploy new features to production rapidly.
Some Of The Technologies Desirable For This Role Include
Cloud platform experience – Azure preferably, but AWS or GCP can be useful too
Container technologies – Kubernetes, Docker
CI/CD – Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines
IAC – Terraform, Terraform CDK
Configuration Management – Ansible, Salt, Puppet
Observability – Datadog, Sentry
Some knowledge or exposure to any of the following languages can be an advantage - Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go,, C# etc.
Other Technologies You'll Be Exposed To
Knowledge of all of these is not required but the more you have experience of (or experience of a similar product), the better.
Database technologies - MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL
RabbitMQ
Cloudflare - WAF, Workers, Zero Trust
Networking – Express Route, VPN, Virtual Network
Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
Nutanix - HCI, Networking, Storage

Company Culture
The department is light on meetings – most of your time will be working on projects.
There is dedicated training time & budget to expand your skills as well knowledge to be learned with the help of your colleagues, using workshops and pair working.
As a privately-owned company we tend to be fast-moving, and as we're profitable and growing we tend to be able to afford the tools and hardware we need.
This will be a remote working role where interaction with other team members will be done over Microsoft Teams. There is no requirement to be in the office, except for maybe social events or cross-team collaborations where expenses would be paid. Our head office is in central London with good transport links.
Very fun and social team, lots of group outings and activities to partake in when feasible.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Who are we looking for?

Some experience of infrastructure-as-code and a drive to bring that to all areas of the team
Willingness and capability to support and troubleshoot day to day issues.

Strong Analytical/Problem Solving skills, ability to approach each task in a systematic manner
Adaptability, flexibility in working within a team, always happy to get-stuck-in
Work well under pressure
The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, business and IT, technical and non-technical
Excellent communication skills from verbal to written.
