Group Financial Controller – TXP

Role Overview
As Group Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function for a medium-sized, PE‑backed business. You will manage month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and strategic decision‑making. The role is hybrid – 2‑3 days per week from our Birmingham office.
Key Responsibilities
* Own month‑end close and preparation of management accounts for all entities.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and investor reporting.
* Develop the finance team across TXP Group, driving best practice and high performance.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
* Manage external audits, liaise with auditors and advisors.
* Support CFO with board packs and investor reporting.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes and reporting.
* Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision‑making.
* Oversee tax, treasury, statutory reporting requirements.
* Support M&A due diligence and integration.
Skills & Experience
* ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS); international experience an advantage.
* Experience in audit, controls and financial reporting.
* Commercial mindset with interest in business operations.
* Comfortable in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
* Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration and resilience skills.
